Create a user with access to all vessels or projects, a standard user
If you are logged on as an administrator, open the company administration tile by clicking Company Administration.
- Click New user and fill in the unique email address for the new user. Click Next.
- Then, fill in the form with First name and last name.
- Click Save
- An email will be sent to the new user, here the user must activate his account and set a password.
Create a user with access to one or more vessels or projects, a limited user
The procedure is similar to the one for a standard user, with one additional step (or you may also edit a standard user already created):
- Create a standard user by clicking "New user".
- Fill in an email address and click Next
- Fill in First name and Last name. Do not click save.
- Click Vessels (for ship owners and managers) or Projects (for Yards)
- Tick off the vessel(s) / projects(s) the users shall have access to (can be changed at any time later)
- Click Save
Note: You may create a new user with same access rights as an existing user by using the copy user functionality, please see "Edit a user account".
Create a user with limited service access
The procedure is similar to the one for a standard/special user, with one additional step (or you may edit an standard user already created):
- Create a standard user as described above, but do not click Save
- Click Services
- De-select services the user shall not have access to (typical scenarios below)
- Click Save

For managers and owners:
For administration of users in the application Fleet Status the following frequently used options are available (for full overview of options, click Advanced view):
- Read only access to documents in the Bookshelf - de select:

Create a user with temporary access
In step 3 of the procedure to create a standard user, fill in a date in the field for Temporary user. You may restrict the user's access to one or more vessels or projects as described above. You may also edit a user already created.
Create an admin user with access to all vessels or projects
The procedure is similar to the one for a standard user, click New admin instead of New user.
Create vessel user controlled by the administrator
- Click New Vessel user
- Type in an unique email address and choose the correct vessel in the dropdown list, click Next
- Fill in the form with First name and last name ail and click Save.
- The system will send an email to you as the company administrator, click the link in the email to activate the user account and to set a fixed password
- Share the password with your user, preferably in an encrypted email.
Edit a user account
If you are logged on as an administrator, open the company administration tile by clicking Company Administration. Alternatively, if you are logged on to Fleet status, company administration may be opened by:
- Click <Your name> in the upper right corner
- Click Company administration
- Click the Actions menu for the user you want to edit
If the user type is Vessel user, the administrator also have the possibility to change password by clicking Edit user details, then Change password.
For Yard users:
The administrator can limit user access for projects and vessels with the following services:
- Classification of Newbuilding
- Gives access to the tile at My Services and the start page to the applications
- Approval: Vessel in Operation
- Gives access to the tile at My Services and the start page to the applications
- Approval (full access)
- Gives read and edit access to the project and can submit documentation and reply to comments
- Approval (read)
- Gives access to read to the project view and download information
- Approval and Site (full access)
- Gives read and edit access to the project including newbuilding site comments. Can submit documentation and reply to comments.
- Approval and Site (read)
- Gives access to view to the project including newbuilding site comments and download information
- Class request (full access)
- Gives access to create and edit class requests
- Class request (read)
- Gives access to view class requests
Read access is included in full access so both services do not have to be ticked off to get full access.
How to create a limited user with read-only access to a Newbuilding project
The following must be done by the Yard's administrator:
- Create a user by clicking "New user"
- Fill in an email address and click Next
- Fill in First name and Last name. Do not click save.
- Click Projects (for Yards)
- Tick the projects(s) the users shall have access to (can be changed at any time later)
- Click Services
- Tick the following services:
- Classification of Newbuilding (Must be chosen)
- Choose one of the following services:
- If you would like to give access to view the project including newbuilding site comments, without download information and with no drawings available, tick Approval and Site (read, no documentation)
- If you would like to give access to read the project view without any newbuilding site comments or download information, with no drawings available, tick Approval (read, no documentation)
- Click Save
