IHM Manager is designed for IHM Maintenance; as a one stop service for data storage for all products that are to be installed on the vessel.
After the initial IHM Part I certification, it is the ship owner's responsibility to keep the IHM Part I up to date by maintaining it. Procedure of maintenance should be properly documented.
Material Declarations (MDs) and Suppliers Declaration of Conformity (SDoCs) should be collected from the suppliers for the newly purchased equipment, machinery, products and spare parts, which will be used in ship’s structure and equipment as a fixed item. Those MDs and SDoCs will declare whether there are any hazardous materials (hazmats) in the products above the specified threshold values. Therefore, MDs and SDoCs should be stored by the customer as an evidence of hazmat situation of the product.
The MEPC.269 (68) section 4.3, 5.2 and EMSA Guidance on the IHM section 5.3, 5.4 and 5.5 give details on IHM maintenance.
IHM Manager is available under “Vessel Services” in Fleet Status in the Customer Portal.
