Introduction

Manuals & Plans is a go-to platform for generating documents for a vessel¹ based on existing DNV templates & ship specific information from our production database.
These documents can be submitted for approval right after generating them or via “Approval of documentation” service also found under “Vessel Services”.

 

 

¹ Vessel outside customer’s fleet can also be selected in case of change of vessel management.

A manual or a plan can be generated as follows:

1. Select Generate a new manual or plan
2. Select document type from the list and click Generate manual.

3.  Select vessel either from the list of vessels in your company fleet or check Include vessels outside my company fleet if there is an ongoing take-over process for a vessel which is not yet listed in your fleet system, and you wish to generate the document. Once selected, click Continue.

4.  Fill in the required information by following our intuitive wizard. Save and close option is available at the bottom, and going to the Next page will automatically save your progress.
   If you were to see any incorrect pre-filled data, you can contact us by clicking DATE® (Direct Access to Technical Experts).

 

 

 Special features

• Reset function will allow you to copy ship specific content from one vessel to another vessel in a single click.

• Copy function will allow you to copy ship specific content from one vessel to another vessel in a single click.

5.  After going through all sections on the dashboard, Review your input and all relevant information. You can Preview your document which will download the PDF version to your local drive.

If you are generating this document for the first time, you will be asked to agree with the Terms & Conditions. Click Generate.

 

6. You can also directly Request approval and submit your documents for review.

Before proceeding further, you will be asked to accept Terms and Conditions. Click OK.

7.  An approval order will be created with 'Draft' status. See Predefined Manuals & Plans on details on how to proceed further on submission of documentation. Refer section 'Manuals, plans and other documents'.
