Register Defect in Fleet status
Use Register Defect in Fleet status to report a vessel defect through a guided process and send the required information to DNV for fast-track handling. This feature is designed for customers who prefer a simpler way to report defects while keeping the case linked to the vessel and class follow-up. By using Register Defect, no DNV fee will be charged.
What you can do
- Register a defect from Fleet – Home (Figure 1) or from the Vessel status (Figure 2)
- Choose from predefined fast-track scenarios
- Submit the defect for fast-track handling
Prerequisites
- Access to Fleet status and to request survey for the relevant vessel
- Required defect information and supporting documents
Steps
- In Fleet status, you can ‘Register defect’ from Home, or from the vessel status
- Select the relevant defect from the list, or start typing to filter the list
- Review the information provided
- Accept Terms & Conditions and Submit to send the defect to DNV
- In the Request you can upload the relevant documents
If the defect your vessel is experiencing is not listed as a fast-track option, you may request an equipment, hull or machinery damage survey, see [insert link to request survey].
